| Sadly, recent events have forced schools to eliminate important programs and positions. At the same time, the obligation of schools to make every effort to provide a successful learning experience for every student has not changed. Some children experience emotional or psychological difficulties that make it impossible to learn without special resources. Too often, teachers, administrators, students and parents are left feeling helpless.
I have extensive mental-health experience with children that I would like to offer to help schools as they face this ever increasing dilemma. As an educational mental-health consultant, I can do a student assessment and offer recommendations for the appropriate classroom intervention to help the troubled student.
I speak English and Spanish. My assessment will include classroom observation and interviews with the parent and child and I will meet both with the teacher and parent to share my recommendations.
My fee for a mental-health educational assessment and recommendations for classroom accommodations to meet student needs is $350.
