I have been in the field of Human Services for forty years. I have a varied background in Ministry, Mental-Health, and Counseling, specializing in working with youth and culturally diverse communities.
For 23 years, until my retirement on 2010, I was a Clinical Supervisor for a nonprofit agency that grew to became one of the largest providers of mental-health services for children in the State of California. In collaboration with Children and Youth Services of Mental Health and the Human Services Agency, I established the Foster Care Assessment and Treatment Process (FCAT), which pioneered in the State collaborative assessments for foster children and youth. Its clinical staff gained the respect of the County Department of Mental Health, the Human Services Agency, and the Juvenile Dependency Court System.
I am bilingual in Spanish and English and have cultural competence in working with various ethnic communities.
I open my doors to the community who can avail of my experience and service.
